Brownley Boosts Advocacy Efforts as Latest Member of SEEC

January 13, 2014

Washington, D.C.—The House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) is pleased to welcome Congresswoman Julia Brownley (CA-26) to its membership.

A member of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, Rep. Brownley said of joining SEEC: “From sea level rise to extreme weather, climate change is real and impacts Ventura County businesses and communities. I look forward to working with my SEEC colleagues to fight the effects of climate change by supporting smart investments in renewable energy and sustainability, and by supporting the responsible stewardship of our natural resources.”

“In the short time since she came to Congress, Representative Brownley has established herself as a tireless advocate for advancing clean energy, protecting our natural resources, and addressing climate change,” said SEEC Co-Chair Rep. Paul Tonko (NY-20). “Her passion is driven by her constituents and will no doubt enrich SEEC’s efforts. We whole-heartedly welcome her to the Coalition.”
