Coalition Adds Environmental Expert Rep. Scott Peters

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House Sustainable Energy & Environment Coalition (SEEC) welcomes to its ranks Congressman Scott Peters of California’s 52nd Congressional District.

Rep. Peters (D-CA) said of his membership in SEEC: “As a former environmental lawyer and advocate for a greener, environmentally responsible San Diego during my time as City Council President and Port Commissioner, I am honored to continue my work on the House Sustainable Energy and Environmental Coalition (SEEC). I look forward to working with my colleagues to use environmental stewardship to support innovation, commerce and a better quality of life for us all.”

“SEEC is delighted to have a strong and knowledgeable environmental advocate such as Rep. Peters join our growing group,” said SEEC Executive Director Kara Allen. “We look forward to benefiting from his previous experiences and expertise as the Coalition continues to develop and promote ideas within the environment, energy, and climate areas.”

SEEC now has 47 members with the addition of Congressman Peters.
