Washington, D.C.—The House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) is pleased to welcome Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) to its membership.

A member of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation, Energy and Forestry, Rep. DelBene said of joining SEEC:

“Washington's 1st District is home to some of the country's most beautiful waterways, forests and mountains and contains some of the state's most fertile agricultural land. Taking care of our natural resources and protecting our environment is critical to the well-being of our economy and our quality of life. I look forward to working with members of the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition on building a new green economy and finding innovative solutions for addressing climate change for our health and the health of future generations.”

“I am pleased to welcome Representative DelBene to SEEC,” said SEEC Co-Chair Steve Israel (D-NY). “Since Rep. DelBene took office in 2012, she has shown an unwavering commitment to preserving our environment, combating climate change, and expanding our growing clean energy economy. We look forward to the contributions she will make as a member of SEEC.”

With the addition of Congresswoman DelBene, SEEC now has 58 members, bring the Coalition to its largest size since its inception in 2009.
