Shea-Porter Takes Clean Energy and Climate Efforts to Next Level

August 27, 2013

Washington, D.C.—The House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) is pleased to welcome Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01) to its membership.

A member of the House Natural Resources Committee, Rep. Shea-Porter said of joining SEEC: “I share SEEC’s commitment to create jobs in the renewable energy, clean technology, and green manufacturing fields. I look forward to working with them to advance policies that address the growing threat of climate change and strengthen our economy."

“Congresswoman Shea-Porter recognizes the threat New Hampshire and its beautiful natural landscapes face from extreme weather events exacerbated by unchecked carbon pollution,” said SEEC Co-Chair Rep. Paul Tonko (NY-20). “She is a proven fighter—on behalf of her constituents and her state—and SEEC is glad to have her fighting spirit in our efforts to overcome climate change denial and take meaningful actions to protect generations now and in the future.”

With the addition of Congresswoman Shea-Porter, SEEC now has 53 members.
