August 17, 2012

WASHINGTON, D.C—The House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) welcomes its newest member, Congressman Ron Barber of Arizona’s Eighth Congressional District.

In joining SEEC, Rep. Barber (D-AZ) said: “Sustainable energy is critical to the future of America, and Arizona has a proud tradition in clean energy development and sustainability. I am eager to work with the other members of the House Sustainable Energy and Environmental Coalition to promote renewable energy resources and technologies, create American jobs, and protect the environment.”

“Congressman Barber’s decision to join SEEC shortly after being sworn in demonstrates his seriousness about working to pursue a clean energy economy that also provides Americans with the clean air and water they deserve,” said SEEC Executive Director Kara Allen. “Congresswoman Giffords was among our members, and we look forward to working with him to continue her efforts.”

With the addition of Congressman Barber, SEEC brings its total membership to 51 House members.
